"Kimberlee Rocca is an acclaimed Midwestern artist whose work masterfully integrates geological,
architectural, and salvage elements with a profound exploration of play, form, negative space, and color. Her distinctive style is characterized by an inventive use of reclaimed materials and a vibrant palette that breathes new life into the forgotten and the discarded materials."
"Faces of Africa" - Robert Bolla - Project Space Gallery
"Photography is my way of telling a story while teaching the relationship of the art found within science.
Since and early age I have used photography to record the “history” of an event, tell a story and store a memory. My interest continued through my academic career as a biologist where I used photography in teaching and research; it has followed me into retirement where I now use the photograph to challenge the viewer to see the relationship between arts and science in the natural world."
The reception is free and open to the public 5-8 pm. Refreshments available, as well as a chance to meet and converse with the artists.
Parking is free on the street after 5 pm
