We are a monthly open mic for creatives to share their poetry, stories, songs, or anything to do with words. This month we are featuring local poet, Nadia Rhook. Nadia Rhook is a poet, historian and educator, passionate about creating place-based and embodied connections with the past. Nadia is the author of two history-themed poetry collections: boots (UWA Publishing, 2020) and Second Fleet Baby (Fremantle Press, 2022). She can currently be found running writing workshops, and working on books about stone, ecology, chronic illness and parenthood. Entry is free, with a suggested donation of $5. Nadia will have books available. Lucky door prizes. A warm and inviting space. Limited open mic this month.
