The Discover 4-H series of workshops is an engaging program designed to introduce youth to the wide range of opportunities available through 4-H. These hands-on, interactive workshops cover various topics, including science, agriculture, arts, leadership, and more, allowing participants to explore their interests while building valuable skills. Open to youth ages 5-7 and 8-10, this program allows for creative knowledge and skill development in a supportive and fun environment. Whether participants are new to 4-H or seasoned members, the workshops provide a platform for learning and personal growth, while emphasizing the 4-H motto of "Learning by Doing." Join us each month as we explore a new topic:

Get ready to celebrate the bounty of autumn with our "Fruits and Vegetables of Fall" youth program! Young foodies and scientists alike will explore the delicious world of seasonal produce, from the crisp sweetness of apples to the tiny wonders of seeds we eat. We'll learn all about where these fall favorites come from and even get a chance to make a tasty recipe from our fall veggies together. Join us for a fun-filled program that's sure to be a feast for the senses!
All programs will be held at the NC Cooperative Extension office located at: 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917 starting at 5:30pm and ending at 7:30pm. Space is limited and there is a registration fee of $5.00 for each program in this series. Payment can be made with a credit card via Eventbrite, or cash/check payable to NCSU. Checks and cash can be delivered to the Currituck Extension Office at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917 within 5 days of registration.
Please note that there are two age groups for each workshop (5-7 and 8-10)-make sure to select the correct section when completing the registration form.
All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2025 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is https://v2.4honline.com/.
