About this Event
We invite Alameda-based businesses to our next Crime Prevention Roundtable meeting on Tuesday, October 8, at First Bank Belmar. We'll be discussing the Perceptions and Realities of Crime along Alameda and the findings from our recent safety survey.
The survey, which was sent to over 500 businesses along Alameda, provides valuable insights into the types of crime most frequently reported in the area. The data also shows that while many businesses voice concerns, only 24 responses were received, indicating a gap between concern and civic engagement. This meeting is a chance to bridge that gap. We'll explore why businesses may feel a sense of "emotional burnout" that leads to disengagement, and how we can work together to simplify reporting and build trust.
Your insights and participation are essential to creating a safer Alameda. Come be a part of the solution as we discuss these key trends and explore how we can continue our proactive initiatives, like encouraging Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) analyses and grants for security improvements.
