Description: Ian Grinter, Botanist for the Prineville BLM - Deschutes Field Office will discuss the rare plant species managed on federal lands in Central Oregon. Managing ground stretching from La Pine to the Dalles and east to Brothers, OR provides an array of habitats from sage-steppe, juniper woodlands, lodgepole forests, mixed conifer forests and the Deschutes River basin that support a diverse set of rare plants. In addition to rare plant management the presentation will include discussion of ongoing revegetation projects in support of post-fire rehabilitation and riparian restoration.
