An evening of reflection, remembrance, strength and unity. On Tuesday, Oct. 8th, at 7:30 pm, we will come together for an Evening of Remembrance to honor the 1,200 lives tragically murdered on Simchat Torah last year.
As we reflect on the devastating events, we will be joined by a special guest speaker, Sgt. Maj. Asaf Salomon, a member of the IDF Search and Rescue Team, who will share with us a deeply moving, first-hand account of the destruction and its aftermath on those living on the south border of Israel.
Asaf spent months after Oct. 7th working in the southern Kibbutzim, recovering remains of the deceased, documenting the destruction, and preserving the memories and personal belongings for the families of those murdered. His personal experiences, accompanied by powerful images and stories, will shed light on the human impact of this tragedy. Through his words, we will preserve the memories of those who perished and pay tribute to their lives.
This memorial is more than just a time to remember — it is a chance to connect, to heal, and to honor the resilience of those who suffered. By joining us on October 8th, you will become part of a collective effort to ensure these stories are never forgotten.
The event is free of charge. RSVP required.
