Come join the power trio Confidential Source as they bring their combination of rock, blues, funk, and originals to The Silver Lining on May 31st ! The band has been rehearsing more material and looks forward to starting their spring season at Silver Lining for a rocking night in their home town of Sacramento!
Dave, Eric and Thomas hit the stage at 8! Confidential Source is, at its heart, a power trio (with the occasional special guest!) with deep roots in Sacramento's music scene. The trio formed when Dave Manoucheri and Eric Rosander wanted to explore what a trio playing some of their favorite songs would do...all they needed was a drummer...and Thomas Voigt brought the power and dynamics to the band.
Dave Manoucheri Is the lead guitarist and singer for the band. With a rich history of touring the Midwest in the 1990’s into the 2000’s, sharing bills with Foghat, the Byrds, Starship, Coco Montoya and more, he brings a blues-steeped voice and playing to the trio, while exploring funk, rock and more. His stinging, emotional guitar playing pulls in from the roots of the varied influences he heard growing up. The fiery performances come with moments of laid-back soul as he makes his way through their setlist. His originals also make up a good selection of any Confidential Source performance.
Eric Rosander is the bassist and singer for the band, with expertise in jazz, funk, blues, and beyond. Having toured Europe, California and more with other bandmates in the 80’s and ‘90s, he met Manoucheri in the “Ain’t Got No Time Band”. He also sings with local acapella choir RSVP and brings that perfect pitch to Confidential Source. Eric's seemingly effortless runs provide a complicated backbone that slides into groove with Voigt's drumming and keeps the band pushing to new limits.
Thomas Voigt is a singer and percussionist who has played throughout northern California as well. He continues to perform with the Sacramento Master Singers where he sings and plays drums. He joined Manoucheri and Rosander to round out the core trio. His drumming comes from his influences of blues, rock, soul, funk, and even prog and metal to his performances. The backbone of the rhythm, he provides not just a solid foundation but fluid runs and fills that compliment both Eric and Dave's performances while standing ground in the rhythm.
