Working Single Moms Night Out hosted by Adopt A Single Mom. Supporting and uplifting working single moms across NEPA.Tuesday, October 14th is this month's Single Mom's Night Out.
Reservations are required. We are not able to reimburse or provide refunds for no-shows and cancellations. Deadline to register is Sunday 10/10 5pm.
Place: El Tikal, Coal St. Wilkes-Barre
Time: 6-8PM
Must arrive before 6:30pm to place food order.

⭐Mom's Night Out Q & A⭐
Q: What happens at Mom's Night Out?
A: There is one of 3 themes for our MNO events:
Social and Networking - this is our time to actually have conversations, get to know each other, share life happenings, exchange resources, and make meaningful connections. Maybe even some quick fun games and icebreakers. These always include food.
Fun Activity or Special Occasion Event - we like to explore new places and activities to introduce new knowledge and experiences, as well as, do things together we all enjoy. In the past these have been going to a metaphysical shop and making spell jars and learning about various aspects of the spiritual and metaphysical, going to a Penguins hockey game with the kids, making home crafts, jewelry making, personal self-defense class, Bee's Backyard indoor playplace with the kids, bathbomb making at Buff City Soap, and yoga just to name a few. These almost always include food.
Guest Speaker - We invite subject matter experts, community organizations, and other learning opportunities to join us and share 20-30 minutes presentation during dinner. Following the presentations we allow time for Q & A, and social time. We've had guests from MFHS talk about sexual health, PA Dept of Health taught us about opioids, trained us on Narcan and sent us home with a supply, homeownership seminar, emotional transformation workshop, and more.
Plus, we often have gift cards and prizes we give away.
Q: What should I wear? Is there a standard dress code?
A: Anything goes. Really! Wear whatever you need to and whatever you're most comfortable with. Whether it's work uniform or workout clothes.
Q: Can I bring my child?
A: It depends. Most MNO events are for single moms to get together to share, escape the day-to-day, and get a break from their kids - we want to honor these precious opportunities. However, we do usually have a couple MNO events each year that include and allow the kids to attend. You'll see on the registration form whether it is a Moms Only or Bring the Kids event.
Q: Can I bring a friend even if they're not a single mom?
A: We would love you to bring along another working single mom who lives here in NEPA. All attendees must register in advance. If she's not a local single mom with dependents under age 21 living with her then she doesn't meet our criteria and we want to always maintain the integrity of the group and our mission.

We invite you to come share relevant information and resources during our night out and promote your business/organization to our membership and email friends of over 3,000 and on our social accts.
