About this Event
DC EcoWomen's Mentor Dinner series connects environmental leaders with our members, and provides an opportunity to glean insights on different career paths in the environmental field. These intimate events are limited to 6-8 people to ensure that guests can be in conversation with the featured guest.
This month's guest is Jane DeMarines, Executive Director and Founder of Climate Diet, Sustainable Earth Eating, a nonprofit to advance awareness of how animal meat production hurts individual health and our climate. In addition to founding a national nonprofit that has allowed her to advance a Federal “Green Policy” agenda, Jane has spearheaded local environmental programs, fought for urban forest preservation, led efforts for positive impact tree legislation, participated in Potomac River Conservancy coalitions, and is certified by “Casey Trees.”
The Mentor Dinner will be taking place at Teaism Penn Quarter. Note that tickets are $5 each, and participants are asked to pay for their own meals. Please only RSVP if you are certain of your interest and availability to attend.
(Participants will meet in the basement section of Teaism Penn Quarter at 6PM. Conversation begins around 6:15PM.)
