About this Event
Join us for a great presentation by Chris Williams on the Corporate Transparency Act.
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) was enacted to combat illicit money laundering activities and improve transparency within the corporate structure in the United States. It requires certain corporations, LLCs, and other similar entities to disclose information about their beneficial owners—the individuals who ultimately own or control these entities. This legislation aims to prevent and fight financial crimes by making it harder for individuals to use shell companies to obscure their identities and illicit activities. The CTA mandates that this information be filed with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), providing critical information to law enforcement and regulatory agencies. As this Act comes into effect, businesses will need to comply with these new reporting requirements, which are intended to enhance the integrity of business practices and financial transparency across the nation.
Come ready with your questions for an interesting discussion.
