Octavius will present an eclectic selection of music from the 1920s - 1940s: the era when jazz music and dance styles began in the USA and gained worldwide popularity. These "jazz era" classics are still wildly popular today. The Octavius singers might say I Got Rhymn but they Ain't misbehavin'! Maybe they feel like floating Over the Rainbow to find Someone to Watch over Me? Or are they expecting to meet a Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy or even Mack the Knife? Those with a more romantic heart might prefer a Funny Valentine or Mister Sandman, but we all know that, in the end, It Had to be You. These are just some of the fabulous songs which Octavius will perform in St. John’s Anglican church, Dannevirke on Sunday March 23rd. starting at 3 pm. The entry price (just $20, cash only please) includes a light afternoon tea after the show. Do come - and bring a friend!
