The music ranges from stripped down jazz-grooves to analog synth dance music. Influences such as Herbie Hancock jazz-funk and Four Tet electronica can be heard. Octave Cat pushes the jazz and jam boundaries by incorporating elements of electronica and in doing so they have carved out their own unique musical space.
Domocile is joining the show! Domocile (Domo) is a 4-piece electronic-infused instrumental jam band formed in Wilmington, NC in 2023 (Chase Farnitano - Guitar/Ableton, Wolf Lampke - Keys, Brandon Bales - Bass, Will Walter - Drums). Inspired by acts such as STS9, Papadosio, Khruangbin and Phish, Domo combines dark, funky guitar riffs, space-driven synth and EDM-inspired vocal samples with a dynamic rhythm section to create a unique soundscape that is equal parts dancy and atmospheric. Domo relies heavily on live improv and takes pride in ensuring each set is its own uniquely curated performance. This attention to detail has garnered them a local reputation as a can’t-miss live show!
