NIGHT 1 of the short film open mic fest!

This is a short open mic film club event. It is an approximate 2 hour program of short films and then a 1 hour meet and greet with fellow filmmakers to connect and create community.
Feel free to bring your own folding chairs and stools!
It's spooky season and we are celebrating with 3 days of short film open mics! We encourage everyone to celebrate by sending in horror short films and dressing up in costume!
We will have a costume contest and the prize is one year of free short film open mic event access! Audience will vote for best costume!
We will also have a horror short film contest! Team up with anyone you met at the film club and create a horror short film that is under 10 minutes! Winners will receive one year of all film club screening event access! Audience will vote for best short film!
SUBMIT YOUR SHORTS RULES: We encourage all short films submissions to be under 10 min long. Any films that exceed up to 10 mins can still be up for consideration as long as they are incredibly great but for a higher chance of showing that night it's best to have it under 10 mins. No short films over 30 minutes. Any film that is clearly offensive and shows no artistic integrity or inappropriate will not be considered.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR SHORT: We will fill up our program on whomever submits and confirms first. Submit to this google form link:

Email a downloadable link of your short film to [email protected] in order to be considered. IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR EMAIL WRITE: OCT OPEN MIC SHORT SUBMISSION + the title of your film.
In your email please include your contact information and social media handles so we can stay connected and create community. All filmmakers will be notified if their short was accepted into the open mic by Oct 17th that way there's enough time and opportunity to invite friends and other filmmakers who will like to watch. If we have an outstanding amount of submission we will add on another open mic night within the month.
It is free to submit but to attend admission fee is 15 dollars for everyone. Since this is fairly a new club still it's just to cover projection and venue cost so we can do more events like these in the future. We'll have wine, beer, and concessions for an awesome night!

We offer refunds up to 24 hours before the event. Please request a refund through Eventbrite and we will get back to you ASAP. NO refunds after that.
