
About this Event
Join Kathryn Flynn, Rural Health and Nutrition Agent for Oconee and Pickens Counties, and fellow 4-H members as we explore the world of cooking together! Learn to plan deliciously balanced, heart-healthy meals, practice basic culinary skills, and discover how food connects us to cultures, communities, and each other.
Whether you're a beginner or a budding chef, this club is all about building confidence in the kitchen, trying new flavors, and having fun with friends who think cooking is cool!
🍽️ What You'll Do:
- Hands-on cooking and ingredient planning
- Explore global flavors and food traditions
- Learn kitchen safety and culinary basics
- Run for club office and learn meeting logistics
- Share laughter, creativity, and great food!
Who Can Join:
- ($15/year)You may attend one meeting before enrolling in 4-H.
- No cooking experience required!
Annual Meeting Schedule:
- September – Kickoff & 4-H Membership Enrollment
- October–February – Monthly Cooking Topics (TBD)
- November – Club Officer Elections
- December – No Meeting
- January – Officer Training (Newly Elected Officers Only)
- February–April – Monthly Cooking Topics (TBD)
- May – Vote on Final Meeting Plans
- June – End-of-Year Picnic!
Note: Club officer terms run from October to October. Officers should attend all meetings prepared to lead.

Membership requirement:
Current 4-H membership in is required for participation in this club. Prospective may attend one meeting before joining 4H.
Custodial Care Please note that this event and its coordinators do not assume custodial care of youth in attendance. Adults (parents, guardians, volunteers, coaches, teachers, or other chaperones) must be present for the supervision of youth participants.
