Ocean Vuong brings pathos and ** to his exquisitely crafted poetry and prose. Written as a letter to his mother, his beloved novel, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, asks perennial and pressing questions about race, class, masculinity, addiction, and trauma. He is also the author of the poetry collections Night Sky with Exit Wounds and his newest, Time is a Mother, “a search for meaning and truth in a life remade by grief” (TIME). Vuong teaches in the MFA Program for Poets and Writers at University of Massachusetts - Amherst.Orchestra tickets ($49) include a paperback copy of Time is a Mother.
