Bring to life your very own spirited instruments, guided by Kelli Marie.
Over 2 days, you will be guided by Kelli Marie to create your very own Ocean Drum for joy, peace, journeying, sound/vibrational medicine, your musical pleasure & more.
Instrument takes approximately 2 x half days to complete, with your Ocean Drum needing from 6 to 8 hours for completion, over the 2 sessions.
The first day we prepare, cut & set our components ready to cure & dry in shape over night.
The second day we 'dress' & personalise our instruments, bringing them into completion & ready to play immediately by the end of your workshop experience.
Make your own Ocean Drum:
Dream weave your very own Ocean Drum from a Willow Tree Hoop (size of your preference), with red Kangaroo faces. Opt for a 10, 12 or 14 inch circumference. Investment outlay includes hoop choice, kangaroo rawhide, base rattle filler (quartz chips & course beach grit), adhesives & a selection of dressing ribbons.
Please bring along - 2 x old towels to work on. *Any rattle filler you may desire to achieve the sound you want (IE: Course shell grit, crystal chips, beads, seeds etc. Material or a ribbon to 'dress' the outside of your drum circumference & to create a handle if required) *Please note this is optional to suit your specific needs & desires in completing your personal instrument. We have a selection of fillers, ribbons etc. to choose from in workshop.
Make your own spirited rawhide Rattle: Saturday 9am to 12pm (or til phase 1 complete)
You will need: A water bottle, snacks, shared plate for lunch each day if staying to create both instruments, your cushion & comfy bits to create your own nest/sacred space to dream weave.
Tea & coffee station provided for your convienence. Please advise if you have any special dietry needs which should be considered by Kelli Marie the group.

Please Note: Workshop space & materials are only asigned once student placement has been paid in full due to the high cost to purchase the quality components & need to prepare them in advance. Each rawhide needs to be prepared overnight (with some of these skins costing in excess of $250), therefore requires crafting in to their next phase of life within the 12 hour window. As a solo operator, these losses add up & are not sustainable, therefore there is NO refund policy for 'no shows' to workshop under any circumstances! Your understanding is deeply appreciated. Should something arise & you are unable to make it to your workshop, please reach out asap (no later than 48 hours prior to the ticketed start time) to discuss a possible credit/roll-over to attend a future workshop.
