Session 1:
Understanding Sensory Systems in the Classroom
The morning session will explore the eight sensory systems and how differences in sensory processing can influence attention, behaviour, and learning. Through interactive tasks, case studies, and group problem‑solving, staff will build confidence in recognising potential sensory needs and adapting classroom routines to support regulation and engagement.
Lunch
Session 2:
Sensory‑Informed Intervention and Sensory Circuits
The afternoon session will focus on developing purposeful movement opportunities through sensory circuits, both within the classroom and in wider school environments. Staff will be invited to take part in practical activities, including designing a sensory circuit and exploring equipment, to better understand how to structure activities that promote regulation and readiness for learning.
