[01] INTRODUCTION
An organization whose place of work has 5 or more employees is obligated under the latest Laws to appoint an Occupational Safety and Health (“OSH”) Coordinator.
This is a DOSH/ JKKP recognised competency training that trains you to be a qualified OSH Coordinator.

[02] COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Develop an understanding of the purpose, objective and importance of OSH Coordinator in an organisation
• Expose to the legal knowledge pertaining to be an OSH Coordinator
• Understand the necessary know-how and techniques to perform duties as OSH Coordinator
• Foster a safety culture in the workplace and assist the organization to be OSH compliant
• Manage and maintain Occupational Safety and Health related documentation
• Be confident in discharging the roles and responsibilities of an OSH Coordinator

• Key components of OSH Policy
• Roles & functions of Safety and Health Committee • Process of accident reporting
• Emergency action plan

Module 4: Chemical Management
• Chemicals and safe handling method
• Concept and application of Chemical Life Cycle

Module 5: Introduction of Occupational Disease
• Duties of DOSH in handling occupational disease • Introduction to Occupational Health
• Statistics of Occupational Diseases in Malaysia

Module 6: Introduction to Work-related Road Safety
• Effects and factors that cause road accidents
• The needs and importance of WRRS management
• Introduction to the OSH industry code of practice for road transport activities 2010

Module 7: Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC)
• Methods for identifying hazard and risk assessment by using risk assessment matrix
• Risk management method by control hierarchy met
• Preparing HIRARC
• Group & Individual assignments

Module 8: Material Storage and Handling
• Material handling and storage
• Material arrangement according to rules or WISE principles (OSHA Malaysia)

Module 9: Workstation Design and Lighting

Module 10: Productive Machine Safety
• Safe working practices
