Darkness has a heartbeat and it’s calling you to move. Obsidian: Pulse of Darkness invites you to experience a night of sensual bass, primal drums, and embodied desire. Surrender to the seductive soundscapes of Mutrix and Drumspyder and let your body become the spell, moving with the rhythm that awakens every sense.
This fall, Obsidian Pulsivity returns to ignite the night with our first event at Star Theater. Surrender to a deeply immersive, darkly enchanting, sensually charged experience. Intentionally curated to stir the body, awaken desire, and unite diverse communities who share a love of movement. This is a night to connect, explore, and lose yourself in shadow, rhythm, and ritual.
Mutrix
Mutrix calls the mountains his home, a solitary existence shaped by extremes of nature and encounters with the untamed. From this raw, elemental life he crafts visceral, ritualistic bass. His music is dark, hypnotic, and alive, a pulse that reaches deep into the body and spirit.
Drumspyder
With frame drums, tambourines, and low whistles interwoven into hypnotic basslines, Drumspyder transforms Celtic and British Isles traditions into contemporary rhythms alive with sensual fire and ritual energy. Every beat is a call to the body, every melody a spell that draws listeners deep into ecstatic movement and shadowed desire.
DJ Hlessi
From basements to festivals, F Finley Moorefield is a 'eteran of the Pacific Northwest social dance scene, with over twenty years of experience DJing tango, blues, and fusion. His new goal is to bring his signature deep bass sound to the goth scene where he can lean into the dark vibes that have been threatening to boil over all along.
Beyond the Dance Floor:
The magic of the night extends far beyond the DJ booth. Immerse yourself in a sensual play space designed for embodied connection, exploration, and desire. Wander through darkly enchanting vendors, discovering treasures, adornments, and curiosities. Surrender to the hypnotic allure of sultry gogo dancers and performers.
Dress Code: Dark, sexy, mystical attire is highly encouraged. Come adorned for ritual, seduction, and liberation.
