About this Event
Observe Northern Saw-whet Owl banding at Rushton Farm and experience nature at night.
These tiny owls (no bigger than a soda can) travel through Pennsylvania in the fall in search of ideal overwintering habitat.Learn all about their ecology and conservation from our field scientists, and (hopefully) see an owl up-close.
Limit 25 guests (We kindly ask that if you sign up and cannot make it, please cancel your tickets through Eventbrite. This will free up your ticket for someone else).
Very Important Things to Remember:
We are in a place with heat, running water, etc. BUT, if you want to see owls or go on a night hike, bring appropriate boots, layers, and headlamps. Restrooms are available.
Please Note:
Arrival time is 6:30 and it will end at 11:30. You do not need to stay the entire time.
You may come and go as you wish.
We won't band if it's raining or if weather conditions are too warm. In the event of cancellation, we may not have the opportunity to reschedule.
