About this Event
In this workshop, participants will be guided through a series of fun and engaging exercises to sharpen their observational drawing skills while staying grounded in the present moment. We’ll start by focusing on our immediate surroundings, using all of our senses to make detailed observations. The goal is to help participants slow down, tune in to the world around them, and deepen their connection to the present.
We'll begin with simple activities to test and enhance our ability to notice details, like identifying and drawing rocks from memory. Then, we’ll challenge ourselves with a contour line drawing exercise, where participants will draw their peers without looking at the paper, encouraging concentration and mindfulness. As we progress, we’ll dive into blind contour drawings, which help focus attention on the subject rather than the drawing itself, followed by a still life drawing, where participants will practice capturing objects in front of them with precision and care.
