About this Event
Object, Object, Object to the current Aylesham Centre, planning application!
All Peckham Locals Welcome! Please come along, even if you are late, or can only stay for a few minutes, all are welcome.
We will have a demo of how to get on the council's planning portal and launching an objection or comment, so people came become familiar. We can take a look at objections/comments already lodged and locals can share ideas to help form their own objections.
Developer Berkeley Homes (BH) have submitted a planning application to Southwark Council. We want to discuss objecting to the planning application with locals and the multitide of issues housed with the application Please join us and lend your voice and hear what other locals think.
Aylesham Community Action feel this plan is not #rightforPeckham and was instrumental in getting well over 100 local people to attend BH's last public meeting and voice their concerns about this development.
In the meantime we aim to continue raising awareness about this development so as many locals as possible know. You can check out our socials for more info including info to help with launching an objection.

We helped thousands in the local community reject the first plan. BH has recruited new architects who have produced this new plan, but it doesn’t look much different. There is still a lot to discuss in the local community about whether this is the right kind of development for this very large site in the heart of Peckham town centre.
We have had eighth amazing meetings now hosted at Peckham Levels for local people to share updates and discuss the issues with each other. We’re very keen to continue that incredible energy and momentum. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered their time and skills thus far, if you’d like to put your name forward to help with anything from graphic design through to pamphleteering, do email us. The more involved, the more we can achieve!
This meeting will take place on Thursday 24 October from 6.30pm to 8pm on Level 6 at Peckham Levels.
The meeting will be from 7pm - 8pm, but do come as soon as you can from 6.30pm. This is an important chance to socialise with others and share thoughts about the development before and after the meeting. Please send the link to your friends and neighbours and any local digital forums, local whatsapp groups etc. you are part of and say all are welcome.
Please also register for a ticket on this page, so we have an idea of numbers.
ACA is a group of local residents working together to campaign for:
* local people to be properly consulted;
* a development that meets local needs;
* a plan that fits well with the character of Peckham.
