Kathy Klein is a longtime AKC Obedience competitor with an impressive record of achievement. So far, she has earned 2,715 lifetime OTCH points, representing 27 Obedience Trial Championships. For those less familiar with the sport, that level of success reflects years of consistent excellence at the highest levels of AKC Obedience.
Kathy has also earned over 200 High in Trial and High Combined awards, including 20 perfect scores of 200. Throughout her career, she has trained with many of the top professionals in the sport, learning from each and refining her own unique style.
Her training philosophy focuses on developing a strong work ethic in both dog and handler by blending accountability with play. She believes in a balanced approach—setting clear expectations while always being fair to the dog.
Kathy’s students have found success as well, including OTCH titles on both a Cattle Dog and a Miniature Poodle. Beyond Obedience, she has competed and titled in AKC Rally, Agility, and Field (Hunting), showcasing her versatility across multiple dog sports.
