About this Event
Obatala Festival
Come join us at the Obatala Festival at Valencia Park/Malcolm X Branch Library! This exciting event celebrates the Yoruba deity Obatala, known as the father of all Orisas.
The Honorable High Chief Priest Dr. Sola Atanda comes from Osogbo, Nigeria to speak about this powerful Orisa. He is the Asiwaju of Lagos and Lagos State by the Araba of Lagos. Meaning, he is the "mouthpiece of all Awos (initiates) of the world." Also, Chief Dr. Orisajinmi (Obatala Priestess, host) is the Asiwaju of San Diego, CA.
Enjoy music, dance, food, and cultural performances honoring Obatala's wisdom and purity. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Yoruba people. This event is not repeated due to the Honorable High Chief Priest Dr. Sola Atanda's limited time in the U.S.
See you there! This is a FREE event! Get a ticket to reserve your seat!
