About this Event
Parents / Public are invited to join the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego and the San Diego Junior Lifeguards for the annual SDJG Pier Jump this summer. This is a fundraiser and the ONLY TIME jumping from the Ocean Beach pier is allowed. Space is limited to the first 100 people (18+ older) for each jump session (8:00am and 12:00pm). Proceeds from this event benefit the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego efforts to provide SDJG scholarships and free swimming lessons for underserved youth in San Diego.
Important Jump Information:
• $150 minimum donation/ticket purchase (each participant)
• Ticket sales will open to SDJG parents on Friday, July 29th at 8:00 am.
• Ticket sales will open to the public on Monday, August 1st at 8:00 am.
• Ticket sales will close on Sunday, Aug 14th at 6:00pm. This event is expected to sell out. Any remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the event on Aug 1`5th.
• T-Shirts will be available for purchase at the event only. Adult and kid sizes are available. $25 long sleeve / $20 short sleeve.
How will it work? Purchase tickets online with the desired am/pm time below. On event day, check-in at purchased ticket time (8am or 12pm) with name, printed ticket, event waiver, and fins for your required safety lecture.
Jumping Requirements: $150 minimum donation (each participant). No Refunds and Non-Transferable. NO FINS NO JUMP. Must be 18 years or older. Must wear swim fins. Must attend safety lecture. Must be a strong ocean swimmer; the ocean swim to the beach after your jump is between 500-1000 yards. Waiver form required at check-in (print and sign beforehand).
AM Jumps: 8:00am check-in; 8:30am safety lecture; 9:00-11:00am jumps
PM Jumps:12:00pm check-in;12:30pm safety lecture; 1:00-3:00pm jumps
