Join us for this tabletop role-playing one-shot, hosted by GM, Jeff! No prior role-playing experience or supplies are needed. The game system is proprietary and unique to Oathsworn. It has been described as Grim-dark low fantasy by the creators. Each session is divided into two stages. The first stage is in the style of a "choose your own adventure" format that is narrated via a PC application. The second portion is an encounter section that involve a hexagonal grid map with miniatures and a proprietary battle system that can be learned online before playing the game. Description:
Oathsworn: Into the Deep Wood is a story driven D&D "light" experience played over 21 chapters. Four adventurers band together at the King's decree to uncover the secrets of the "Deep wood" as in and unknown creatures encroach on what is left of medieval European civilization.
Character Creation:
12 pre-generated characters will be provided with varying degrees of difficulty to play to match player preference. Difficulty is given a rank of 1/5 to 5/5 difficulty to play.
About the Game Master:
As a gamer that is partial to Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder I have found that providing a smooth on ramp to the wonderful world of tabletop gaming can be intimidating. After discovering Oathsworn I found that it is a clean and polished table top experience that can have even the most reluctant first time players enjoying their first time RPG experience. Both veteran and new time players can play together. I hope this shared experience will spark the imagination and lead to quality time with friends and family for years to come.
