MASIC & Manchester University NHS Foundations Trust (MFT) invite women who have had a birth injury to come to our New Support GroupAbout this Event
Sustaining an OASI (Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury) or severe injury whilst giving birth can be challenging to live with and difficult to talk about.
MASIC and MFT understand this, and have set up a new support group to allow women to talk confidentially in a safe space about their symptoms, or any complications that arise from living with a taboo injury.
The group will be based next to St Mary's Hospital at Ronald McDonald House, Hathersage Road, Manchester. It will be run by a Qualified Healthcare Professional (HCP) and a MASIC Patient Advocate.
It will be a chance to meet women in your area who understand what it's like to live with a birth injury. The HCP will be on hand for medical related questions and will offer advice on how to manage your daily needs.

Pre-school children are allowed in attendance, but would have be supervised at all times
