Oakwood History Walk at Woodland Cemetery— Sunday, October 13, 2024

Please join The Oakwood Historical Society for a docent-led, walking tour focusing on the lives and accomplishments of Oakwood’s most esteemed founders, the many people who helped to shape our community, and those who may now have been forgotten among the pages of history. As you follow along Woodland's hills and winding paths, an early history of Oakwood begins to unfold.

At the end of the tour, light refreshments will be served at Woodland's Lookout Point.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes and expect some hilly, off-road and uneven terrain during the walk. The tour will take place, rain or shine and will take about 1 1/2 hours, with time afterwards to enjoy the refreshments and beautiful view from Lookout Point.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Meet just beyond the front gates near the main office of Woodland Cemetery, 10 minutes before your tour begins.

Tickets will sell for $20. /individual.

All proceeds go to The Oakwood Historical Society, an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the past, present and future of the Oakwood Community.
