Heather Holm, award winning local author and nationally sought after speaker, biologist and pollinator conservationist, will be guest speaker at a Friends of Minnehaha Park event. She will shed light on historical grasslands and oak savannas (including Minnehaha Park's historical ecosystem), indigenous historical and contemporary management of grasslands through controlled burns, and the benefit of fire as a management tool on oak and grass ecosystems.
