THE OAKLAND SOUL ARTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL FULL OF FUN AND OPPORTUNITIESJoin the fun, the excitement and the experience of the Bay Area at the Oakland Soul Arts & Music Festival. It all begins at 11am at the HENRY J. KAISER CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS (Note New Location) located at 10 Tenth Street in Oakland for two days( instead of one as previously schedule) SATURDAY OCTOBER 25th and SUNDAY OCTOBER 26th. Gates open on Saturday at 11am and Sunday at 11am. The event schedule is Saturday 11am-5pm and Sunday October 26th at 12noon until 5pm.
Keep your dancing boots on the ground for this one because LES FRANKLIN is performing his hit "Cat Daddy," and "Hold On." Bay Area legend RAYMOND COATS who was just inducted into the Black Music Hall Of Fame will bring his style of blues, romance and party songs to the stage. It only keeps rolling when NZURI SOUL performs her unique styling and brand of soul. Of course the great NIECEY "LIVING SINGLE" ROBINSON will bring down the house; as will the one and only CHERROND G, another Bay Area superstar. Our SPOTLIGHT STAGE is perfect for rising stars who want to get time to showcase so people can hear and see them in a huge performance. Please inquire how to get time on this stage hosted by celebrity entertainer KELDAMUSIK. Watch out now because Big Momma's House Of Soul is open for business smack dab in the middle of the street! Come inside the tent for a rousing party with deejays, karaoke and singers. Get your Golden Ticket to come into this house of soul. With all this fun there will also be important resources and information. Our Bay Area Big Career Fair will have jobs in a variety of capacities including the Careers In Law Enforcement section recruiting minorities into lucrative opportunities. There will be an entire area dedicated to Small Business Development opportunities where you can discuss financial planning, investments, real estate, and meet banks that offer solutions to the community. Our special Community Tent will host workshops on health, wealth and education from guest speakers and partners who are looking to make a difference in lives and community. Can you bring the family? Absolutely! The Kidz Zone is equipped with games, and play station areas so they can interact and enjoy. Finally, we like to invite you to view what the Oakland Arts jazz & Soul offers to the artists. Our Creative Collective area will be a showcase of some of the partings, sculptures and expressions of the Bay Area and worldwide. Meet these magnificent creators of art and support their creativity as part of the Artists Row.
