The Oakenmist Renaissance Faire will be August 17, 2024 at the Howard County Fairgrounds from 10am until 6pm! We had so many folks last year that we've already outgrown the original venue. We also need a better count of people - food and item vendors want to know how many folks are attending, and we can't just "educated guess" - so we'll have a token admission fee just to help cover expenses and get a better handle on participants.
This is the week between Pennsic and the MDRF; it is the first week of the PARF. This was and is targeted for small businesses! Just as last year, we'll have a bit of a cap on specific vendor types so we don't overload on one type of vendor - but we should be able to accommodate a maximum of 80 vendors this year, and have a specific area for performers.
And, as last year, we'll have a bi-weekly educational section online where we talk about that aspect of history, highlight a performer or vendor, and promote the event.
