[EN]Surely April can't be the cruellest on the months as Geek Culture Quiz has already had a wrestling round and anime round earlier this year?
I guess we are left with just the usual four rounds of geeky questions from all sorts of geeky (possibly non-cruel) topics and genres!
As always, the top three teams participating locally will win prizes. Unfortunately the remote teams will have to make due just fame, no fortune but there will be cup and skene points to be earned.
Also remote teams will participate with all other teams in the raflle for other prizes in the quiz, so with some luck they won't have suffered... I mean enjoyed the quiz for nothing!
Both the Geek Cup and Shadow Cup continue and the inevitable end of the spring seasons is already almost in sight, as there are only two more quizzes left before we find out who will be crowned champions!
Currently Geek Cup is a dead heat as both Replikantit and Kirves ja Kivi share the first place with 8 points. They are followed by Penguinness Book of Records at 6 points and the 4th place is shared by ∞ kissaa and The Quiz Marillion! with 5 points.
This means the fight for the top three cup positions is still very much ongoing and with brilliant performances even teams a bit lower in the league table, like Bene Guesserit or Geralt of Trivia (both with four points), could fight their way there.
The Shadow Cup on the other hand...
Well, if Wrong on the Internet decides to skip completely the next two quizzes we might have new champions but currently their massive 6 point lead is probably a hill to steep for anyone to climb. Especially because, they would have to be left in both quizzes to just median points for event to tie with anyone.
But winning and competitions isn't everyting. Having fun in the quiz with friends and foes is the best!
So get your friends together, come have a few drinks, few laughs, some food and have enjoy yourself in the quiz!

Eihän suinkaan huhtikuu voi olla kuukausista julmin, kun Nörttikulttuurivisassa on jo ollut tänä vuonna showpaini ja animekierrokset?
Joten kaipa meillä on taas sitten tyypillisen tapaan tarjolla neljä kierrosta kaikenlaista (mahdollisesti epäjulmista) nörttiaihesta ja aihealueista!
Ihan niin kuin aina, niin kolme parasta paikallaolevaa joukkuetta palkitaan. Ikävä kyllä etäjoukkueet joutuvat tyytymään vain maineeseen, mammonaa ei siis ole tarjolla mutta cup ja skene pisteitä tietenkin voi ansaita.
Etäjoukkueet tietenkin myös osallistuvat muiden joukkueiden kanssa visan arvontapalkintojen arvontaan, joten hyvällä tuurilla visasta ei ole tarvinnut kärsiä... siis nauttia ihan turhaan!
Sekä Nörtticup että Varjocup jatkuvat ja lähestyvät vääjäämätöntä loppuhuipennustaan toukokuussa, kun jäljellä on enää vain kaksi visaa ennen kuin tiedetään ketkä tullaan kruunaamaan mestareiksi!
Tällä hetkellä Nörtticup johtoaseman jakavat 8 pisteellä Replikantit sekä Kirves ja Kivi. Toisella sijalla perässä seuraa Penguinness Book of Records 6 pisteellä. Neljättä sijaa taas jakavat ∞ kissaa ja The Quiz Marillion! 5 pisteellä.
Tämä tarkoittaa, että taisto cupin kolmesta kärkisijasta käy yhä kuumana ja loistavilla suorituksilla jopa sarjataulukossa hieman alempana olevat joukkueet kuten Bene Guesserit ja Geralt of Trivia (molemmilla 4 pistettä) voivat nousta voittajakolmikkoon.
Varjocupissa sen sijaan...
Noh, jos Wrong on the Internet päättää yllättäen jättää väliin seuraavat kaksi visaa, niin saisimme todennäköisesti uudet mestarit mutta tällä hetkellä joukkueen 6 pisteen massiivinen etumatka on liian iso muille kurottavaksi kiinni. Varsinkin kun jopa tasatilanteeseen vaadittaisiin se, että joukkue jäisi visoissa parhaimmillaan vain mediaanipisteille.
Voittaminen ja kilpailut eivät tietenkään ole kaikki kaikessa. Visassa hauskan pitäminen ystävien ja vastustajien kanssa on parasta!
Joten kerää kaverisi yhteen, tule muutamalla ja pitämään hauskaa, syömään vähän jotain sekä nauttimaan visasta!
