The NZ Tree Crops Central Districts & Taranaki Branch are pleased to invite you to the first Taranaki Field Day for 2024.We are excited to announce we will be hosted by seasoned Taranaki Farmers Market stallholders, Matt Low and Melissa Burleigh-Low on their beautiful Kahu Glen Farm where they organically grow feijoas. Their feijoa orchard is certified organic by BioGro and they also produce a refreshing feijoa and apple juice which you may get to taste and purchase on the day. There may also be the opportunity to discuss other produce, pruning and hemp so you have to be there to find out!
Field Day Event Details
Date: Saturday 29 June
Start time: 10.00am (may be 1-2 hours) – please arrive at least 10 minutes early, there is plenty of parking.
Location: 175 Paraite Rd, Paraite, New Plymouth
Note: There will be products available for purchase – cash or bank transfers are fine.
What to bring:
- Your own lunch and beverages e.g water, hot drink
- Suitable outdoor clothing
- Closed footwear or gumboots
- An umbrella just in case it rains
- Medication you may need
- Your own seat (optional)

Expectations and Health & Safety Guidelines that must be adhered to:
- Respect our generous hosts’ property and other visitors’ peaceful attendance.
- Beware of health and safety hazards which may exist.
- Children are welcome to attend but must be supervised.
- Please do not bring any pets.
Attendees: All are welcome to attend events, this includes members of Tree Crops NZ and non-members unless specified otherwise. Although, we do encourage that after attending at least two field days or workshops that you join Tree Crops. Members have access to a wealth of information in the members-only section of our website.
