NYS NOW Conference 2025 - Feminism is Activism

Join us for an inspiring day filled with powerful discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities at the NYS NOW Conference 2025 - Feminism is Activism! This in-person event will bring together feminists from all walks of life to celebrate the strength of activism in the fight for gender equality. Get ready to be motivated, learn, and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about making a difference!


The conference will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and promises a day full of empowering discussions, networking, and feminist fun.

Ticket Options:

$15 Ticket – Includes access to the full conference, continental breakfast, and a boxed lunch.

$25 Ticket – Includes all of the above plus a one-year NOW Membership and a free year of Ms. Magazine.A room block code will be provided soon for attendees traveling from downstate.

$12 Ticket - Zoom Conference access

10:00 – 10:30 AM: Welcome Greetings from Rochester City Council member Mary Lupien; NYS Senator Samra Brouk (invited, not yet confirmed); Rochester NOW President Nadia Schaubroeck; and former Congresswoman and President of NOW-NYS Carolyn Maloney

10:30 – 11:00 AM: Equal Rights Amendment & National NOW Updates - Presented by Carolyn Maloney, NOW-NYS President and former Congresswoman

11:00 – 11:30 AM: Open Session – Vision for the Future of NOW

11:30 – 11:45 AM: Break

11:45 – 12:30 PM: Crisis Pregnancy CentersPresented by Jillian Quigley, ROC SRJ (Rochester Sexual & Reproductive Justice)

12:30 – 1:30 PM: Boxed Lunch & Feminist Trivia

1:30 – 2:00 PM: Expanding Community Engagement - Rochester NOW

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Panel Discussion Featuring Dr. Myra Henry (YWCA President), Linnette Vasquez (Attorney, Law,NY), Senator Samra Brouk (invited, not yet confirmed), Rochester NOW President Nadia Schaubroeck; and former Congresswoman and President of NOW-NYS Carolyn Maloney

3:00 – 3:45 PM: Lobbying & Medical Aid in Dying - Presented by Fran Trieset

3:45 – 4:00 PM: Closing Remarks & Scavenger Hunt Reminder
