About this Event

NY's Car Insurance Affordability Crisis

New Yorkers are facing a car insurance affordability crisis. Premiums are among the highest in the nation, and costs continue to soar— hitting low- and middle-income drivers the hardest. Join policymakers, consumer advocates, industry experts, and community leaders for an urgent discussion on how the state can fix New York’s broken car insurance system.

This event will explore the root causes of skyrocketing premiums, the disproportionate impact on working families, and the concrete steps Albany can take to address this growing crisis. Speakers will share data, personal stories, and legislative solutions to make car insurance fair, transparent, and affordable – ensuring every New York driver has access to the coverage they need without being priced off the road.
