Join NYRP at community gardens across NYC throughout August for its annual school supply giveaways, cooking demos, and more!
About this Event

Join the garden group at Essex St. Community Garden and NYRP for a free backpack and school supply giveaway on Friday, August 22 from 12 pm - 3 pm.

This event will also feature a cooking demo facilitated by Chef Genny Mack. Genny is a Nutrition & Fitness Coach specializing in Autoimmune Health, a Chef, and a Public Speaker. Her focus is empowering women and communities to take control of their health through holistic healing practices, including mindful eating and movement. Genny will lead a demonstration on how to prepare the foods growing at Essex and gardens around NYC!

Please note: Supplies will be distributed while available. To receive school supplies, children must attend!
