New York Fashion Week Intern Opportunity
Designer & Backstage Production Support
Willow Bean Studio | Runway 7 NYC | February 12, 2026
This is a hands-on New York Fashion Week (NYFW) internship opportunity for students and emerging professionals seeking real backstage experience at a professional runway show during New York Fashion Week in New York City.
Selected interns will work directly with the designer of Willow Bean Studio and the backstage production team, supporting critical show operations in a fast-paced NYFW environment. This role is designed for interns who want to understand how a fashion show actually runs — not just observe from the sidelines.
About Willow Bean Studio
Willow Bean Studio is led by Jennie Fear, founder of the Philadelphia-based couture house recognized for precision craftsmanship and emotionally driven design. Jennie brings both independent couture expertise and commercial fashion experience to her work, having freelanced for Urban Outfitters/Free People.
The February 2026 presentation marks Jennie’s 13th and 14th runway shows at New York Fashion Week, reflecting sustained participation in professional NYFW productions.
Interns will work within a designer-led backstage environment, gaining exposure to real runway pacing, production standards, and professional workflow.
Intern Responsibilities Include:
• Assisting the designer with garment preparation and organization
• Supporting model flow, dressing, and quick changes
• Maintaining backstage order and timing
• Assisting with runway production logistics
• Communicating professionally with models, dressers, and production staff
This opportunity is especially well-suited for students in fashion design, styling, fashion business, production management, or merchandising, including those enrolled at FIT, Parsons, LIM, and similar institutions.
Interns should be punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure. Prior backstage or fashion experience is helpful but not required. Professionalism and accountability are essential.
Intern Benefits & Recognition
Selected interns will receive branded merchandise to keep and wear on the day of the event, along with a certificate of participation. Documentation required for school credit, academic programs, or professional recognition will be provided upon request.
⚠️ Only two (2) interns will be selected.
