READY! SET! DUEL!
Welcome all to the Legacy Cup! This is a special tournament where we are put into the shoes of our favorite anime characters by building their decks and battling it out against everyone else to determine the winner. This is a series of 6 different tournaments, each being the many spin offs of our beloved anime series.
In this tournament, you will be given a character and it’ll be your job to build a deck that stays true to their play style and cards. We will be heading into the future with 5Ds where duelists will compete and Rev it up!
Here are some of the things you will need to know about this tournament series:
You will be appointed 3 character names where you will have the option to either accept or decline (do note that you only have the option to decline 3 times. After that, the next set of 3 names will be the final decision to choose from)
You are to build a deck that stays true to their play style and their respective cards and support. For Example, if you are given Yami Yugi, you will have to build a deck surrounding his deck choice with cards that he’s used on the anime as well as cards from the respective booster boxes (Legendary duelists, Dark wing blast, Duelist Nexus etc)
This tournament will be a double elimination format where if you lose twice, you are automatically out. Round 1 will be single duels, meaning there will be no side decks for that round. Going forward there will be side decks allowed.
Each tournament will have its own perks and benefits for everyone. For the 5Ds tournament, each participant will be allowed to have one copy of one of the following cards on their decks: Soul Charge or Premature Burial
As a special addition, semi finals (Top 4) and Finalists (Top 2) will get the chance to dish it out in a Turbo Duel! I have a google slides with Duel runners for each character exclusive for the 5Ds Legacy Cup. They will be ready by then.
RULES:
The Legacy Cup will begin at 1pm on the dot. Lateness will result in penalties. Each duelist will be given a 5 minute wait to show up once the tournament begins. If you fail to have yourself ready after those 5 minutes you will automatically receive a Loss.
Deck building; you must build a deck that stays true to the character! This means no engines or outside archetypes that were not seen in the anime/manga. Generic cards may be allowed but must be consulted with me before anything. You will need to submit your decklist to me for approval.
Misconduct or inappropriate behavior is unacceptable. If such actions are present you will be removed from the tournament NO EXCEPTIONS!
When you are given a character, you must remain anonymous with your given name. Do not inform any other participants on which character you were given. Let’s keep the element of surprise!
To avoid loops and slow plays, Each duelist will be given a max of 10 minutes to finish their turn. Surpassing the time limit will result in an automatic loss regardless of life points.
This may be 5Ds but if anyone decides to pull a bandit Keith or a Weevil and cheat their way, they will be disqualified on the spot.

There will be prizes given for this tournament.. There will also be prizes outside of the top 3 such as prizes based on comeback plays, character enthusiasm and more!
