NYC Qualifier: REP YO CITY SLAM

Slam is alive and well, but which city does it best?

Several cities will compete to earn the crown at the REP YO CITY SLAM held in New York City on January 31, 2026.

But first, we need to see who the best in NYC is to represent us on January 31.

Guidelines:

• This will be a 3 round slam.
• Poem Time Limit: 3 minutes (with an additional 10 sec. grace period) - 3:10 total. A time penalty will be applied if your poem exceeds the time limit. Your time starts as soon as you begin speaking into the microphone. Any introductions or disclaimers will be included in your poem time.
• 5 judges will score your poems/performance on a scale from 0.0-10. Bring your best, poet!
• Poets advance to the next round based on highest-ranked points from 5 judges.
