This hands-on, technical workshop is modeled directly on the proven daily workflow Mari uses across 12 brands, making it a powerful and practical experience for fashion professionals and artists at any level who want to elevate their skills with Illustrator, AI, and MidJourney. Participants will begin with a motif creation warm-up, sketching simple motifs by hand and digitizing them to get comfortable with Illustrator. From there, you will dive into building repeat patterns, scaling motifs, and learning the difference between hero and secondary prints. Then explore AI integration, using MidJourney to generate original ideas, textures, and references that complement Illustrator work rather than replace it. The focus will then shift to refinement, where participants will transform their AI inspiration and motifs into polished, production-ready print files that meet industry standards. Finally, we’ll connect the entire workflow to real-world applications in fashion, showing how this process streamlines design, speeds up ideation, and opens up exciting new creative directions.
