Format:
Everyone is free to move around, watch and mingle as they please
When registering, please indicate whether you would like to be matched up based on your skill level (If you have a Chess.com, Lichess, USCF, or other rating, let us know!)
- Chess Virgin - Looking to mingle and learn!
- Chess Beginner - I know how the pieces move but eager to sharpen those skills
- Chess Enthusiast - Chess.com regular and looking to test my skills in person!
- Chess God/Goddess - Happy to play serious games or even teach!
During the evening
We will set up a “social play” area and a “battle arena”

Are you looking for a serious game? - If so, what is your level
Are you looking to teach someone or learn? - If so, let us know if you would prefer a male or female opponent
Otherwise, feel free to mingle and talk to anyone you like and ask them for a game!
The only rule is to be polite and courteous
- If someone is not interested in playing or having a conversation, please respect their wishes
- If there is a match going on, please feel free to observe but be polite when asking questions
- Please do not speak to any of the players who are engaged in a match in the “battle arena” - If we receive any complaints, we may have to ask your to leave with no refund
