We're using fashion to raise #AngelmanSyndrome awareness which is a severe #neurological disorder characterized by profound developmental delays.As the founder of the FDC Collections Presentation and Soiree I’m encouraged by Colin Farrell’s mission to help raise more awareness about Angelman Syndrome. As a celebrity he is able to catch the attention of the media with the story of his own son. I too am extremely passionate about this cause, so much so, I and some of the FDC designer award winners will be flying in to New York all the way from London, England to be a part this great event.
Proceeds will go to the charity (FAST) Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics.
As a designer and the relative of a little 'Angel' I and other members of the fashion industry can use this showcase to raise awareness and funds for the research, which will lead to treatments and eventually a cure.
