Join God’s Love We Deliver and the New York Blood Center (NYBC) on September 23 at the Michael Kors building, 5th Floor, to save lives one drop at a time by donating blood!The drive will be held from 11am to 5pm. Donating blood takes about one hour, including a physical and health interview. The actual donation time is typically only 10 to 15 minutes.
September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, a time to recognize those who live with sickle cell disease. It is the most common inherited blood disorder in the United States and affects approximately 100,000 Americans. We are proud to serve our neighbors living with the disease, as it is our newest qualifying diagnosis. In addition to our medically tailored meal program and unlimited nutrition counseling services to our clients living with the disease, we are grateful to raise awareness and take action with our partners at NYBC.
