About this Event

The National Youth Agency (NYA) are back on the road for our Regional Roadshows. Join us as we share updates and hear from others to celebrate achievements and discuss challenges and issues facing the sector.

We’re co-hosting events alongside the Regional Youth Work Units to connect national to regional to local to ensure all infrastructure bodies are present and heard at these events. The valuable insights gathered will help inform our collective work and influencing activity over the next year or so.

Whether you’re from a VCS youth organisation, the local authority youth service, an allied sector organisation or a Director of Children’s Services or a local councillor, we hope that you are able to join us.

The day will be split into morning and afternoon sessions. You have the option to only attend part the day if you cannot attend the whole day:

  • Morning (10:30-12:30) – this will focus on the and what this means for local authorities, local youth services and organisations and the allied sectors. We’ll talk through different models that have been adopted by some local authorities and models adopted by the VCS sector. We’ll talk through a new toolkit to support local authorities to meet this duty.

  • Lunch and Networking (12:30-13:30)

  • Afternoon (13:30-16:00) – we will update on national policy activity, workforce development and funding streams building on the findings of the ‘Joining the Dots’ report. We will also hear from regional and local organisations on developments in the sector and discuss how we can support and advocate for the sector to meet the most pressing needs.

We have a bursary fund available for those who would find it difficult to attend because of transport costs. Please email Lydia [email protected] to discuss what would help you attend.

A detailed agenda and named speakers for the day will be updated in the text below.
