NY Hand Therapy Journal Club
Come join us for the next NY Hand Therapy Journal Club at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital! All Certified Hand Therapist (CHTs), Occupational Therapists (OT) and Physical Therapists (PTs) interested in hand therapy are welcomed to attend.
The Journal Club platform will facilitate discussion of current research and the implications on evidence-based clinical practice. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow hand therapists, share knowledge, and discuss the latest research in the field.
Topic: Management of Dupuytren's Disease with a special focus on needle fasciectomy
Guest Presenter: Amanda Walsh, MD is an orthopaedic upper extremity and microvascular surgeon working at the Mount Sinai Health System. She is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a subspecialty cerificate in surgery of the hand. She is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Walsh is a dedicated educator of medical students, residents and fellows, an active researcher and speaks nationally and internationally at academic meetings.
Facilitators:
Dina Delopoulos, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS, is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the upper extremity rehabilitation. She is supervisor of rehabilitation at the NY Hand & Wrist Center of Lenox Hill.
Ashley Satenstein, OTR, CHT, CEAS, is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. She is the owner and director at Lang Hand Therapy, a premiere upper extremity rehabilitation practice on the UWS of Manhattan.
