18 hour weekend of concealed carry training designed for those seeking a NY State concealed carry permit. We will discuss the legal constraints and considerations of concealed carry and use of force in NY State, as well as, considerations for interstate travel. Significant emphasis will be placed on general firearm safety, to include: Pistol handling, storage, and staging in the home or vehicle. You will understand which features are important when selecting a self-defense oriented pistol and how to pair it with the appropriate belt, holster, and cover garment, or maybe purse. We will discuss additional accessories to consider in order to make concealed carry comfortable and effective. The instructor will explain and demonstrate modern combative/defensive pistol shooting fundamentals, to include: Body stance, grip, rapid sight and target acquisition, drawing from a holster, effective trigger manipulation, multiple target engagement, and more.
