It’s been a while, and we hope you are all doing well! NWMC are excited to invite musos (and music lovers) to our 2024 AGM Meeting and Jam - to be held at the Devonport RSL club on Sunday 22nd of September.The AGM Meeting - this year is crucially important, as we have a number of our long serving Committee Members looking to wind back their involvement in the Committee.
To ensure the Club can continue to operate into the future - we are extending the invitation to local musos (or passionate music lovers) who have just a little bit of spare time to join the NWMC Committee and take the club forward.
The Jam Sandwich - will be run in the NWMC's ever popular 'random draw' Jam Sandwich format and is open to musos of all abilities, ages and musical styles.
For those who haven't attended one of these NWMC Jams..... It goes a little somethin' like this . . .
- Each Jammer fills in a simple Rego Form, either prior to the event via the online Pre-Registration form here... https://forms.gle/BsnM5uN16sMJfBY5A or, as a paper Rego Form when they rock up at the venue.
- On the Rego Form, we just ask for your Name and 'main' musical talent / instrument, along with any other instrument/s that you would be happy to 'sit in' on, for a jam.
- Jammers' names are then drawn out to create random 4- or 5-piece bands.
- Subsequent bands are announced progressively throughout the evening.
- Each new 'band' will have time to get together to agree on and quickly work up three (3) songs.
- Then it's just a matter of tune up your instruments (with a TUNER!!) and hit the stage to perform your fresh musical masterpieces to the adoring crowd!
- The first band on the night will be created from Pre-Registered Jammers and will need to be ready to grace the stage and kick away the entertainment at 3:30pm sharp

- Musos of all abilities are welcome and it is the hope to get everyone who has registered up on the stage playing at some stage throughout the event.

- Depending on numbers attending, we may need to 'recycle' some Jammers throughout the gig.
- Full PA, mics and quality backline - drums, bass amp, guitar amps and DI's for acoustics are all provided. BYO Mic if you prefer.
- BYO instrument/s AND TUNER.
- Keep your stage rig simple and use the provided gear wherever possible as this makes for quick movement of jammers on and off stage and ensures we keep the music and fun times rolling!

- Meals available from the Bistro until 1:30
- Doors open at 3pm, Show time 3.30pm sharp!
- BYO alcohol not permitted.
- Bar snacks available.
- Dining / Function Room is open to under 18's
