👯♀️ Join us for a surreal screening of Peter Jackson’s HEAVENLY CREATURES at The Creamery on Sept. 13th.📼 The film: Before his Lord of the Rings trilogy, Jackson made a film based on a stranger-than-fiction true story: Two young girls in New Zealand form an intense friendship, creating an imaginary private place away from their unhappy lives. But there’s a sinister darkness lurking under the rosy, fantastic world they’ve created…
🏚️ The space: A historic, three-story concrete building with unique acoustics will create a radical sonic experience while we watch the movie! (216 W. Birch St. in Rogers)
✨ The experience: Show up at 7pm to socialize, sip adult bevies from @ozarkbeer, and peruse a zine that ties into the film! We’ll start the movie when it’s dark (around 8pm) followed by a talk from @erin_keaton about the real-life strangeness that took place after the film’s release — and their personal connection to the material.
🧐 The logistics: Parking on site (same location as “Ecological Design Group”). Suggested $5 donation.
