It's that time again when we invite the experts, who also happen to be trusted allies, to come and share what we should be expecting in the upcoming legislative session. As Texas embarks on her 89th Legislative Session in 2025, there are numerous priorities to push, representatives to watch and support, and votes to count on. Sometimes the devil is in the details when it comes to these things, so that's why we are looking forward to hearing what these organizations have to say. Join us and bring a friend as we hear from Andrew McVeigh, from Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, and Chris Russo, from Texans for Strong Borders.Stay tuned for speaker updates!

About Andrew McVeigh:
Andrew McVeigh currently serves as President and CEO of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility. Born into a military family, Andrew is a graduate of Texas A&M University, with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Andrew has worked on or managed campaigns for conservative candidates in Texas, and worked in the Texas Legislature for three sessions. He is a husband, a faithful Christian, and proud son of Texas. He currently resides in Austin with his wife.
About Chris Russo:
Chris Russo is the founder and President of Texans for Strong Borders. Chris founded Strong Borders in 2022 after observing that while many special interest policy organizations exist across the conservative spectrum, no group was organized and actively pushing for Texas First border security and immigration policies at the state level.
Chris worked for six years as a flight controller for the International Space Station at NASA Johnson Space Center before leaving in October 2022 to focus full-time on fighting to secure the Texas border and put Texans first. He is also an avid grassroots activist, has participated in several campaigns around the state, and served as the SD-11 GOP Resolutions Committee chair in 2020. He attended Texas A&M, where he received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
