This event is aimed at Dietitians working with children or adults with cystic fibrosis who want to improve their knowledge and experience of assessing nutritional status.
Achieving optimal nutritional status has been key to improving and extending the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. But in the CFTR modulator era will BMI be as reliable as it has been in the past?
This event brings together clinical experts and industry to provide practical knowledge and experience of completing measures of nutritional status. The event is a mixture of short presentations and hands on workshop experience. Across the day you will hear about futureproofing nutritional assessment in cystic fibrosis, practicalities of assessing body composition and get direct experience of performing:
- Upper arm anthropometry
- Bioelectrical impedance analysis
- Hand grip dynamometry
- Functional measures
